The pre-season favorite to win the conference, Tulsa, travels to meet Alabama Birmingham on Tuesday in their only match up of the season. This game features the Conference USA elite. Tulsa has a 16-3 record and is 5 and 0 in conference. UAB has a 17 and 2 record and is also 5 and 0 in conference. Both these teams are coming off games in which they won but underachieved. Both had their eyes on this game, no doubt! Tulsa has achieved a 3 and 1 road record and has covered 5 in a row and 1 push before last weeks let down. Tulsa features a high scoring percentage and scores 76 ppg. Additionally, Tulsa features key defensive shot blockers in 7-0 C Jordan, Richard, and Idlet coming off the bench. Additionally, the team is shooting well from behind the arc. This UAB team has been a surprise this year and has become a favorite among the bettors. UAB has built its record by winning close games. UAB's conference record can be considered to be light so far. The only challenging game being the one against Marshall. These next 3 games will really show what this team is made of. (Tulsa, Memphis, and UTEP.) However, pre-conference UAB does have an impressing win over Cincinnati. UAB relies on its F Elijah Millsap for most of its offense. They are averaging 69 ppg and are average in most statistical categories. One of these teams will come out on top of the conference based on the results of this game and will have the leg up for the rest of the C-USA season. Capper has Tulsa winning this game by 5 and will play Tulsa +3.5 2 units.
